The short version
Specialty Contact Lens is a static information website. There is no account to create, no form that asks about your health, no advertising network, and no third-party advertising cookies.
What we do not collect
- No health information. We never ask about your eyes, your diagnosis, your prescription or your treatment, and we have nowhere to store such information.
- No accounts or profiles. There is nothing to sign up for.
- No advertising cookies, and no advertising networks.
- No selling or sharing of personal data. We have no personal data to sell.
What is collected
Server and hosting logs. Like any website, requests to this site are logged by our hosting provider. These logs can include your IP address, the page requested, the time, your browser type and the referring page. They are used to keep the site running and secure, and they are retained only as long as the hosting provider’s standard retention period.
Analytics. If and when we use analytics to understand which pages are read, it will be configured to measure page usage in aggregate, not to identify individuals, and it will not be used for advertising. This page will name the provider when one is in use.
Email you send us. If you email info@specialtycontactlens.org, we hold that message in order to reply to it. We do not add you to any mailing list.
Cookies
This site does not set advertising or tracking cookies. If strictly necessary cookies are used for site function, or analytics cookies are introduced, this page will say so and name them.

Pages on this site link to other websites, including other eye care information sites and published sources. We are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices. When you follow a link, that site’s own policy applies.
Children
This site is written for adults, including parents reading about lenses for their children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal information held about you, or to object to its processing.
